New Delhi, May 11: Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi picked up their first title of the season winning the ATP Tennis Masters in Rome.
The third seeded Indo-Belarussian pair defeated Australia's Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley 2-6 6-3 6-4 in the final of the 2.4 million euro clay court event Sunday, according to information received here.
This is the 34th career title for Bhupathi and the first for the pair in seven months since they won the Madrid Masters last year.
Bhupathi now enjoys cent per cent record in finals this year after winning the earlier two he reached in Auckland and Dubai with Frenchman Fabrice Santoro.
The win also avenges Bhupathi-Mirnyi's semifinal loss last year against the Aussies at the same venue.

Authurs and Hanley had earlier accounted for Leander Paes and Czech Republic's David Rikl in the second round.
