Imphal, July 23: A militant was killed in an encounter with Army personnel at Lamsang area of Imphal West district of Manipur today, official sources said. The militant, belonging to an unidentified outfit, was killed in an encounter with Army personnel of 44th Battalion Gorkha Rifles, who were patrolling the area about 25 kms west of here around 0330 hours, the sources said. The encounter lasted for a few minutes after which the other militants escaped, they said. Bureau Report
