Patna, June 15: The Nationalist Congress Party today expressed its reservation on any move to deploy Indian troops in Iraq without the mandate of the United Nations and demanded convening of an all-party meeting by the Centre to take a decision on such a vital issue.
At a press conference here, party national general secretaries Tariq Anwar and Jagannath Mishra charged Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani with "succumbing" to US pressure on deployment of Indian troops in Iraq during his visit to that country.
"India always had good relations with Iraq and we should not send our troops to Iraq under US pressure," they said.
