Rawalpindi, Apr 17: The aftershocks of defeat were immediately felt in the Pakistani dressing room, with the rift between the skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq and speedster Shoaib Akhtar coming out into the open. Shoaib was quoted by the former captain Rashid Latif as having complained about the field placements by Inzamam, who dubbed such comments as “very unprofessional” and threatened disciplinary action against the bowler.
“Such things affect the morale of the team,” said Inzamam.
Although Inzy denied any personal rift between him and the speedster.
