Aug 22: The Diageo Scottish PGA Championship is set to move to a new prime date on the 2003 European Tour international schedule.

The event which is curently under way at Gleneagles' Centenary Course, venue of the 2014 Ryder Cup, will move to 19-22 June next year. Since the tournament was reintroduced as a regular fixture on the Tour schedule in 1999, it has clashed with the World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational in the USA.

The new date will provide the opportunity for many of the world's top golfers to take part.

With July's Scottish Open at Loch Lomond offering one of the Tour's largest purses and attracting a high-quality field, Scotland's golfing calendar now has a very healthy appearance. Bureau Report
