Fresh bout of arson in Nanded; curfew in Parbhani, Nanded
Mumbai, Nov 23: Two fresh cases of arson rocked Nanded today, prompting the authorities to reimpose curfew in the town and nearby Parbhani in Marathwada in Maharashtra, even as Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal met the victims of the Friday blast.

Shops were set on fire in Degur Naka and Taroda Naka of Nanded this afternoon before Bhujbal's scheduled visit to the disturbed area, Special IG of Police B N Raut told, adding
that the situation was tense.
Additional police forces have been rushed to the spot, he added.
In Parbhani town, Bhujbal, who arrived to review the situation, met the blast injured at the civil hospital and disbursed around Rs 2.25 lakh as financial assistance to those affected, district collector M Chaudhary said. "The deputy chief minister also visited the blast site and surveyed the mosque where the explosion took place, and reviewed the damages to the adjacent areas", he said.
"Financial assistance of Rs 5000 each was disbursed to those suffering minor injuries while those seriously injured were handed over Rs 10,000 each", he added.
He said the curfew, which was relaxed between 5 am and 7 am to enable people to offer Namaz, would continue till 5pm. Around eight persons were discharged today after medical treatment, he said.
Nearly three companies of state reserve police force and over 1000 district police personnel continued to be stationed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
