New Delhi, Nov 27: Accusing Samajwadi Party of helping BJP indirectly at the hustings, a meeting of Muslim leaders and organisations today unanimously decided to support the Congress candidates to defeat the "communal" BJP.
The meeting was attended by Muslim leaders, imams, Sajjada Nashins, office bearers of All India Muslim Unity Front, All India Islamic Conference, All India Babri Masjid Rebuilding Committee and All India Sufi Conference.
Samajwadi Party has put up its candidates in Muslim dominated areas in Delhi and elsewhere where it has no base. This would divide the Muslim votes, help BJP to take advantage and make the congress candidates lose the election by narrow margins, Mohd Younus Siddiqui, president of All India Babri Masjid Rebuilding Committee said in a press release.
"Thus the Samajwadi Party is helping the BJP indirectly to win the assembly elections in the four states", he charged.

He also appealed to secular and Muslim voters not to vote for the candidates of Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal, Samata Party and BSP and vote for the Congress directly to defeat the BJP.
