Acid thrown on Mumbai local, four suffer burns
Mumbai, Jan 31: Three women and a man suffered burn injuries when unidentified persons threw acid at a first-class compartment of a local train between Bandra--Khar railway station of the Western Railway here late last night.
Mumbai, Jan 31: Three women and a man suffered burn injuries when unidentified persons threw acid at a first-class compartment of a local train between Bandra--Khar railway station of the Western Railway here late last night.
The victims, which included a pregnant woman, suffered 25-30 per cent burns, according to the railway control room here today.
Sources said while investigations into the identity of the perpetrators was on, no arrest had been made so far.
The victims had boarded the train at around 9:30 am.
Initially, the injured were initially admitted to the Bhabha Hospital, but later shifted to Cooper Hospital in Andheri, a western Mumbai suburb, sources added.
