Bharti to invest Rs 2,000 cr in 2004-05 fiscal
Bangalore, Mar 22: Telecom major Bharti Tele-Ventures on Monday announced it would invest Rs 2,000 crore in the fiscal 2004-2005 for its mega expansion plans to connect over 2,300 towns.
Bangalore, Mar 22: Telecom major Bharti Tele-Ventures on Monday announced it would invest Rs 2,000 crore in the fiscal 2004-2005 for its mega expansion plans to connect over 2,300 towns.
The plans include Bharti rolling out its mobile services in six more circles -- Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh- East, West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and Rajasthan, Manoj Kohli, President, Mobility, Bharti Tele-Ventures, told reporters here.
It would also add 18 more mobile switching centres, taking the total number to 53 by the end of next fiscal, besides scaling up its network capacity to cater to more than 11 million subscribers from over six million now.
