Jammu, Sept 14: Buoyed by the huge response to the BSNL's recently launched mobile services in Jammu and Kashmir, three private cellular operators are in the race for extending their services in the state. Bharti Telecom, which has decided to launch its Airtel mobile service, has completed its 15 day long survey in the state with a very huge response, a company official said.
"We are keen to start our service in J&K, but it would take some more time," he said, adding that there appears to be more prospective mobile users in Jammu and Kashmir than Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, where mobile services were on since past several years.
Another private telephony operator, hutch has also constituted its team for conducting survey of prospective mobile service users in the state, company sources said.

Hutch would complete its survey in next fortnight and decide about the launch of its service here, they said.
Reliance telecom has already decided to launch its mobile services in the state soon, the sources said, adding reliance is most cheaper service with 40 paise per minute as compared to Rs 2.40 per minute call of BSNL.
Airtel and Hutch too are cheaper as compared to BSNL services, they said.
"People of J&K welcome such move to provide them better services than BSNL, which is government body, sources added.
