Dehradun, June 26: Uttaranchal girls once again stole a march ahead of the boys in the high school and intermediate examinations conducted by the Uttaranchal Board of Higher Secondary Education. The pass percentage of girl candidates for the intermediate examinations stood at 74.96 and for boys it was 59.57 while in the high school examinations girls secured a a pass percentage of 52.66 as against boys' 36.28. Announcing the results, a spokesman of the board said that 73,306 candidates appeared for intermediate examination this year and out of them 48387 were declared successful while in the high school examinations out of 1,42944 students only 66,888 passed.
