New Delhi, Aug 15: Peeved at the anti-India attitude of Pakistan, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today cited love and affection showered on baby Noor during her heart treatment here to make a point about goodwill in India for Pakistanis.

Vajpayee, while addressing the nation on Independence Day from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort, did not forget to mention Noor of Pakistan who underwent a successful operation to correct a hole in her heart at a hospital in Bangalore.
"The love that the two-year-old girl Noor from Lahore received in India carries a message, which our friends in Pakistan should understand," he said amid cheers from thousands of children gathered to witness the unfurling of the national tricolor.
Noor became a household name and centre of attraction after she along with her parents arrived here for treatment on July 11 by the first bus from Lahore after a period of 18 months.
"Let us open some new doors, new windows and new light-holes in the walls that divide us," the Prime Minister told Pakistan.

He favoured movement of people to and from Pakistan and expansion of bilateral cultural relations. "Let more and more elected representatives visit each other's country," Vajpayee said.
