Moscow, Mar 17: Russia is recommending that its nationals leave Iraq because of the deteriorating situation over Iraq, a foreign ministry spokesman told the Interfax news agency today.
"In view of the deterioration of the situation in Iraq, the foreign ministry is recommending to its nationals that they leave Iraq and refrain from travelling to that country," spokesman Alexander Yakovenko said.
A US-led attack on Iraq appeared imminent after the United States and Britain told their nationals to leave Kuwait, bordering Iraq.
