L&T led consortium bags Rs 50 cr leak detection project
Mumbai, June 16: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has awarded a Rs 50-crore, leakage control and water distribution rehabilitation project to a consortium -- L&T-ECC and Thames Water of UK -- led by Larsen & Toubro Ltd.

The pilot project, Unaccounted For Water (UFW), would
cover 35,000 water service connections in Bangalore, L&T said
in a release here today.
The project, adopting a `district metre area concept', is being funded by Japan Bank of International Co-Operation (JBIC), it said, adding, the contract states that the project should be completed in 18 months time.
L&T-ECC is the engineering, construction and contract division of L&T Ltd.
