Bangalore, June 15: The Indian Union Muslim League today strongly opposed any move by the government to send Indian troops to Iraq under "pressure" from the US and UK.
IUML president G M Banatwala in his address to the all India convention of the party here, came down heavily on the US-led attack on Iraq.
He said though US launched "aggression" on Iraq on the ground that it possessed weapons of mass destruction, but it could not provide any proof after the war was over.
Banatwala wanted India to maintain its earlier stand of "condemning" the US attack on Iraq and not to send forces.
