Lucknow, Sept 15: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayawati today ruled out the possibility of any tie-up between the BSP and the Congress for the coming assembly elections in four states and said that the possibility of an alliance with the BJP can be explored again if it rectified its mistakes.
Addressing a press conference, Mayawati who is also BSP vice-president dismissed as mere speculation reports that there would be a tie-up between the BSP and the Congress for the assembly polls in four states.
Mayawati said that there was no truth in reports that talks were going on between the BSP and the Congress for a possible alliance between the two for the assembly elections.
The BSP vice-president, however, said that if Mulayam Singh Yadav tenders an apology" for the guest house incident of June two,1995 when Samajwadi Party leaders had assaulted her and comes out of the shackles of the Manuwadis I could forgive him." She warned of bloodshed in Uttar Pradesh if any attempt was made to demolish the statues of Dalit icons established during her regime.
" The Dalits will not remain a mute spectator if the statues of their icons were demolished and Yadav would be directly responsible' for the consequences," she said.
