Nasik, July 29: The Maharashtra government has geared its machinery for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela beginning tomorrow and reviewed the arrangements at a meeting here, the Nasik revenue divisional commissioner said here today. The meeting of the concerned departments - revenue, police, Nasik Municipal Corporation, health, electricity (MSEB) and Public Works Department was held here yesterday for reviewing arrangements in Nasik and Trimbakeshwar, about 29 kms from here, Vijay Mathankar told reporters.

Adequate stock of grains and other essential commodities were supplied to the sadhus, pilgrims at their camps, he said.

Vimlendra Sharan, Commissioner of Nasik Municipal Corporation told the meeting that NMC would take proper care for water-supply, electricity and other amenities, while adequate doctors, nurses, ambulance will be provided by the health department. The meeting was attended by special I G Nasik range Khanderao Shinde, police commissioner P T Lohar, collector of Nasik Mahesh Zagde, NMC Commissioner Sharan and other concerned officials.
