Jammu, Sept 09: A militant was killed today in Jakhol area, a few kms away from Ghatti in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. The ultra was shot dead at Singara top early this morning, after locals informed about his presence in the area, police said.
The militant is believed to be one of the seven ultras, who engaged security forces in Ghatti area for days before escaping.
In a separate incident, security forces shot dead two militants in Logar area of Doda district yesterday, police said, adding two AK rifles and the large quantity of ammunition was recovered from them. Bureau Report
