Hyderabad, Nov 08: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has called a cabinet meeting today amid intense speculation that he may recommend the dissolution of the House.
There are indications that the Chief Minister will call for early elections, as he hopes to ride the sympathy wave that followed the attempt on his life last month.
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Employment Generation, B Gopalakrishna Reddy, who was injured along with Chandrababu Naidu in the naxal attack at Tirupati, is among those vociferously advocating early polls in the state. Reddy claims there is a strong sympathy wave in Naidu's favour.

"They are thankful to God for saving his life. When they are sympathetic towards us, that sympathy will translate into votes," Reddy said.
Sources in the government say that while Saturday's cabinet meeting will certainly discuss early elections, it will not go as far as recommending dissolution of the House.
Instead, Naidu will review how various welfare programmes are doing and perhaps even announce a host of more sops. Bureau Report
