New Delhi, Sept 27: Amidst reports that CBI may file a chargesheet in a forgery case, Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi today rushed here to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi and discussed the issue with her. Soon after the meeting, Jogi told reporters that he has apprised the party chief about the election preparedness in the state. Later, senior Congress leader from Chhatisgarh, Syama Charan Shukla, said that Jogi was called by the party high command to discuss the possibility of an electoral tie-up with BSP. Jogi had called on the ailing BSP supremo Kanshi Ram in the hospital.
Asked if Chhatisgarh Chief Minister was summoned by the party high command in the wake of ongoing controversy relating to CBI filing a chargesheet against Jogi in forgery case as also a local court severely indicting him over alleged fudging of his caste case, AICC General Secretary in charge of the state Vilasrao Desmukh said he was not aware of any thing. "No reaction before action" he said when asked if party may consider a change of guard following the development.


"Jogi met me here at the AICC Headquarters. We discussed Congress President Sonia Gandhi's two-days tour programme in the state beginning from October seven as also constitution of campaign committee", he said.

Later, AICC treasurer and a senior leader from Chhatisgarh Moti Lal Vora said that he met Jogi here and discussed Gandhi's programme in the state.
