Raiganj, June 12: Three Bangladeshis arrested by the BSF near Indo-Bangla Border at Khurka in North Dinajpur district last night, were sent to judicial custody by a local court here today. Police said the Bangladeshis -- Safikul Islam, Mohammed Kutubuddin and Mohammed Jalal -- were taken into custody for not having any valid documents when they entered India.

The Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate of Islampur rejected their bail petitions and sent them to judicial custody for 14 days.
Residents of Thakurgao in Bangladesh, the accused were involved in cattle lifting, police said, adding that a case has been initiated under section 14 of the foreigners act against them.
