New Delhi, Apr 02: The Firodia family-managed Bajaj Tempo Ltd (BTL) on Friday announced that it has achieved a sales turnover of Rs 1,143 crore in the 2003-04 fiscal. The firm also announced plans to invest Rs 400 crore over the next 5 years in setting up new facilities and inducting modern technology, both for products and for processes.
Earlier this year, the company had announced Rs 1000 crore sales turnover for the 2003 calendar year.
BTL has grown at 34 per cent over the previous year, a company statement said. The growth has been achieved across all the four segments in which the company presently operates - three-wheelers, multi-utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles and tractors.
BTL showed a 66 per cent growth in the MUV segment, while its 3-wheeler sales experienced a 14 per cent growth. The LCV division also grew at an impressive 32 per cent and the tractor division showed an growth of 10 per cent.
