Patrol vehicles and checkposts increased in Madurai
Madurai, June 25: The city police have increased the number of patrol vehicles and checkposts to effectively control crimes and also to attend to any emergency within a short span anywhere in the city.
Madurai, June 25: The city police have increased the number of patrol vehicles and checkposts to effectively control crimes and also to attend to any emergency within a
short span anywhere in the city.
According to a press release issued by city police
commissioner Vijaya Kumar, each mobile patrol vehicle would
cover two police stations instead of three or four being
covered by the patrol vehicles now.
A five-member team, including a sub inspector, would work in the patrol vehicle which would move irrespective of jurisdiction to attend emergency calls, pick up suspicious persons and hand them over to the nearest police stations, and also accept complaints from the public and forward them to the concerned police stations.
