Chennai, Mar 19: The King of Nepal, Panch Sarkar Gyanendra Vikrama Sahadev and his wife, will arrive here on March 22 on a five-day visit to Tamil Nadu. Besides participating in the golden jubilee celebrations of the ascension to the "Peeth" by Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi in Chennai on Mar 22,the king and the queen are also scheduled to visit Kancheepuram, Madurai and Rameshwaram, before flying to Tirupathi on the morning of march.26, it was officially announced here. The royal couple would inaugurate the Adi Sankara statue at the temple town of Kancheepuram on mar.23, besides visiting Kamakshi temple.
Leaving for Madurai from here the next day, the couple would visit Meenakshi Sundareshwara temple. They would pay a visit to Rameshwaram and offer Pooja at Ramanathaswamy temple on May 25.

Winding up their Tamil Nadu tour, the royal visitors would leave for Tirupathi by a special aircraft on the morning of Mar 26 from Madurai.
