Fresh case against RJD`s strongman Shahabuddin
Patna, May 28: An FIR has been lodged against RJD strongman Mohammed Shahabuddin and his three supporters for allegedly masterminding an attack on the house of the defeated JD-U nominee Om Prakash Yadav in Bihar`s Siwan district, police said on Friday.

Police sources said that the case was registered with the Mufassil police station in Siwan on Thursday on the complaint of Yadav that supporters of Shahabuddin indulged in firing at his residence at Mahadeva Mohalla while celebrating the victory of the incarcerated RJD candidate from Siwan Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday evening.
One person was taken into custody in this connection and 10 damaged motorcycles were recovered from the village, sources said.
Meanwhile, an RJD activist Mohammed Hussain filed a counter case against Yadav and others for allegedly attacking the victory procession at Mahadeva Mohalla.
Fighting elections from jail, Shahbuddin defeated his nearest JD-U rival Yadav by a margin of over one lakh votes.
