Pakistani prisoners end hunger strike in Alwar
Alwar, Nov 11: The 13 Pakistani prisoners, who were on hunger strike for a week pressing for their repatriation, today called off their stir following an assurance by authorities that steps would be taken to meet their demand, official sources said.

The prisoners, who have already completed their prison term in different jails, went on a hunger strike for the second time in two months on November 5.
They ended their agitation after district collector S R Pratihar assured them that efforts would be made to get their papers prepared from Pakistani High Commission for their return journey, the sources said. In all, 13 prisoners are being kept in the transit camp following a supreme court directive that those Pakistanis who have completed their prison terms should be sent back to their country.
