No incident of drug trafficking between Indo-Pak road link: I D Swami
New Delhi, Aug 06: Minister of State for Home I D Swami today said that after the reopening of road links between India and Pakistan, no incident of smuggling of narcotic drugs had been reported. Although there had been cases of such trafficking through rail and road links between the two countries in the past.

However, the possibility could not be ruled out, he said adding that security agencies of central and state governments maintained a high-level of alertness and were fully geared to check illegal cross-border activities.
Replying to another question, he said there was no proposal to scrap Article 370 of the constitution which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister said that after the Nadimarg incident on March 23, in which terrorists gunned down 24 Kashmiri pandits, the pandits had demanded a judicial or CBI inquiry into the incident.
Investigations by a special team of J and K police officers had resulted in the challan of eight people in court. In addition, a departmental inquiry was initiated by the state police and as a result seven police personnel, who were on guard duty on the fateful day, had been dismissed from service.
