Dec 05: Michael Stich ended Boris Becker's Honda Challenge hopes with a superb win at the Royal Albert Hall. In a repeat of the 1991 Wimbledon final, Stich came through in straight sets for his second win of the event.
Stich followed up his opening win over Mikael Pernfors in the Civic Group with a 6-3 7-6 (7-1) defeat of Becker.
Three-time Wimbledon champion Becker lost to Henri Leconte on day one - but the Frenchman had a happier day two, beating Mikael Pernfors 6-4 6-1.
In the Accord Group, Jeremy Bates beat former world number one Mats Wilander 6-3 6-4 and John McEnroe beat France's Guy Forget 6-1 7-6 (7-5).
In an exhibition match, Tim Henman beat world number six Rainer Schuettler.
Henman lost the first set 4-6 but then hit back to beat the German 6-3 in the second before claiming the Champions' Tie-Break 10-6.
