Islamabad, July 28: A six-member delegation from India arrived in Lahore today to discuss arrangements for the return of 343 Indian fishermen detained by Pakistan. The delegation headed by Veljee Bhai Mosani, a senior official of Gujarat fisheries department, will be in the city for a week to hold discussions with Pakistani officials and make arrangements, including issuance of visas and repair of boats, for the return of the fishermen, sources said.

The team was received at the Karachi airport by vice chairman of Pakistan's Fishermen's Cooperative Society (FCS), Abuzar Mariwala, FCS sources said.

The Pakistan government has already issued orders for the release of 269 detainees and their 25 boats, the sources said adding that the return of 74 fishermen alongwith their 18 boats, was yet to be decided.
The delegation was expected to visit Karachi fish harbour as well as the shams and Baba Islands where the damaged boats were being repaired.
