Hyderabad, Sept 23: If Laloo Prasad Yadav can step down paving way for Rabri Devi to take over the reins of Bihar government why not N Chandrababu Naidu resign and ask his better half N Bhuvaneswari Devi to take over as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh? The question was posed in the State Assembly by K R Suresh Reddy (Congress) at fag-end of the three hour acrimonious debate on "criminalisation of politics" here today. Demanding the resignation of Naidu, as his government was involved in various scams during its tenure and has resorted to "criminalisation of cabinet" by giving ministerial berth to persons accused of murder, Reddy said, "The Chief Minister should go". "We all know that his wife Bhuvaneshwari Devi is an able lady who is managing heritage foods, their dairy venture, very well.... She can manage the state better," he said.

When Laloo can do it in Bihar, why not Naidu in Andhra? He asked even as TDP members, who interrupted him throughout, were at a loss for words, Speaker K Pratibha Bharathi went ahead with the proceedings. Bureau Report
