New Delhi, Nov 12: Pakistan Information Minister
Sheikh Rashid today claimed that he wanted to visit his
ancestral home in Kashmir but at the same time did not want
his hosts to be in a "difficult" situation.
"I originally belong to Zaindar Mohalla in Habbakadal
(uptown of Srinagar city) and we have our ancestral home
there. I wanted to go there but at the same time, I do not
want to put my hosts in any difficult situation," Rashid told
reporters here.
He said that he had some faint memory of his home but had
no knowledge where his relatives were.
However, government had received no formal request from
Rashid expressing his wish to visit Kashmir.
Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf had visited his
ancestral home at Daryaganj in Delhi during his visit to
India.
