At least 109 people were killed when an air china jet carrying 166 passengers and crew crashed today near the South Korean city of Busan, officials said. The Boeing 767-200 crashed into a fog-shrouded mountain near the southern city of Busan on Monday morning.
The government said earlier that 54 people had survived, but the figure fell as some of those rescued died in hospitals in Busan and nearby Gimhae.
