Patna, Oct 19: BJP president Venkaiah Naidu today said that the party would go it alone in assembly polls in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Rajasthan as it enjoys a strong mass base in these states.
"The misgovernance in these four states by the incumbent Congress dispensations will ensure that we storm back to power," he told reporters here.
Reacting to Congress president Sonia Gandhi's allegations of ill governance by the NDA government at the Centre, Naidu said that she should think who is responsible for ills hindering the country's progress. Her speech writers should be factual and not fictional, he said.
The BJP leader said that Congress has weakened and was nervous after its defeat in Sholapur and Ernakulam bypolls and in assembly constituencies in different states.

Rejecting media reports that BJP has entered into a covert alliance with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, he said, "there can be no meeting ground between us and Mulayam. While he is using caste to further his political interests, we favour evolution of true nationalism where caste is a major stumbling block".
The BJP chief said that the Centre was opposed to a confrontationist posture vis-a-vis Yadav as it is for cordial relations with all state governments.
