Brazil got a pair of goals from Ronaldo and Kaka to beat Colombia 2-1 while Uruguay got two from Javier Chevanton to crush Bolivia 5-0. Diego Forlan, Nelson Abeijon and Carlos Bueno also scored for Uruguay.
Ronaldo opened the scoring for Brazil in the 22nd minute, sliding in a goal after a pass from Ze Roberto. Colombia's Juan Pablo Angel headed in the equalizer in the 38th.
Kaka netted the winner in the 60th minute, shortly after coming on as a substitute in the second half.
Brazil, which faces Ecuador on Wednesday, was without midfielder Ronaldinho, who sat out with a suspension, and Kleberson, who suffered a shoulder injury while playing for Manchester United.
