Bharti migarates cellular licenses to unified access service
New Delhi, Apr 29: Bharti Tele-Ventures (BTVL) today announced that all its 15 existing cellular mobile licenses have been migrated to Unified Access Service License (UASL) with immediate effect.
New Delhi, Apr 29: Bharti Tele-Ventures (BTVL) today announced that all its 15 existing cellular mobile licenses have been migrated to Unified Access Service License (UASL) with immediate effect.
Bharti, India’s leading private sector provider of telecommunication services comprising over 6.5 million mobile customers, now holds unified access licenses for twenty circles.
With an aggregate of seven million customers, Bharti today offers mobile services in 15 out of 23 circles of India. The company also provides fixed-line services in five circles. The circles for which Bharti now holds UASL include Delhi, Mumbai, Gujrat, Haryana, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, UP (West), Kolkata, Chennai, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh (East), West Bengal & Andman Nicobar, Orissa, Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir. Besides that it has also applied for license in Assam.
Upon closing of the Hexacom acquisition, Bharti will have all the 23 circles of India with the addition of Rajasthan and north-east.
