Indian teenager ranks second at physics Olympiad
Mumbai, Aug 11: An Indian teenager from a city- based college was ranked second at the 34th international physics Olympiad in Taipei Taiwan, which concluded here today.

Yashodhan Kanoria of Ruparel College, Mumbai, performed
outstandingly at the Olympiad by securing the second highest
score in the world, according to a release here today.
Incidentally, Yashodhan had also bagged a gold medal at the international chemistry Olympiad held at Greece last month and had secured the second position in the event as well.
The five-member Indian student team, which participated at the Olympiad, secured two gold and one bronze medal at the global event, placing India in the eighth position in terms of aggregate team score.
Two students received honourable mention at the event in which 55 countries participated.
The team was led by Dr Ravi Bhattacharjee of SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi and Dr S C Samanta of Midnapore College.
