Palanpur, Aug 30: Bitter-sweet tears streamed down the cheeks of five Hindu boys from Pakistan, inmates of the remand home here, when they talked about going back home on Thursday. These boys – Premji (14), Sonu (16), Ramji (15), Chhagan (14) and Kisan (14) – were released by a juvenile court after being arrested over a year ago for illegally crossing the border. They are happy they are going home and sad because they will have to part with six-year-old Palanpur girl Rasi, who tied rakhi on their wrists earlier this month. ''I always wanted to return home. But now the thought of leaving nani ben behind makes me sad,'' says Premji. He was picked up by the BSF about a year-and-a-half ago when he strayed into Indian territory while chasing goats. The other boys also met with the same fate. They anxiously awaited their return to their homeland. Rasi brought happiness in their lives when she tied rakhi on their wrists this year.
