Delhi Police has smashed the gang involved in manufacture and sale of fake medicines and arrested two persons in this connection. Fake medicines totalling 1162 kgs and valued at around Rs 60 lakh have also been recovered as two factories were unearthed by the sleuths of special cell of Delhi Police, police sources said on Monday. Based on information, one Shankar, hailing from Patna was arrested on May 16 and 562 kgs of fake drugs were recovered from him, they said. Following his interrogation, his factory in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh was sealed, they added. On Sunday, another person Madanlal of Keshavpuram in north-west Delhi was arrested, they said adding that 1100 kgs of fake drugs were recovered from his factory in Shalimar Bagh, which was sealed.
