Chennai, July 10: The Tamil Nadu unit of Congress today said it would not have any truck with the AIADMK as that party was reportedly moving "close" to RSS and VHP. "We have some trouble in having a tie-up with the parties which have connections with the BJP. Under these circumstances, how can we have a tie up with a party which is closer to fundamentalist outfits like RSS and VHP,” TNCC working president E V K S Elangovan told reporters here on his return from the Shimla conclave of the party.
He, however, said the Congress high command would take a final decision on alliances with other parties in the state only after the Lok Sabha elections are announced. The party would have alliances with "secular parties" only, he added.
