London, Feb 04: German supermodel Claudia Schiffer has called her new baby son Caspar, continuing a trend among celebrities to bestow unusual names on their offspring.
The model, who is married to British film producer Matthew Vaughn, gave birth to their first child at an exclusive London hospital last week but did not immediately decide on a name.
"They have decided to call the baby Caspar Matthew De Vere Drummond," a spokeswoman for Schiffer said on Monday.
"Both mother and baby are doing very well."

Schiffer and Vaughn, who produced the hit film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, married last May in a small country church near their Elizabethan mansion in Suffolk, eastern England.

The couple have followed a trend among the rich and famous in choosing a name that will set their child apart. Bureau Report
