New Delhi, Mar 26: The Nationalist Congress Party today released its poll manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections. The foreign origin issue is not mentioned in the party manifesto. Interestingly, the foreign origin issue is not included in the party manifesto. The agenda of foreign origin has always been a critical point of discussion between Congress and NCP. This issue only led to the formation of NCP by Sharad Pawar.
There are still ideological differences between Congress and NCP on the mid-term election issue. NCP has promised to end the provision of mid-term elections in its manifesto whereas Congress party is open to the option of mid-term elections.
The party released the list of 24 candidates for the general elections.
Party president Sharad Pawar is going to contest from Baramati, Tariq Anwar from Katihar and Kalpana Parulkar from Mandsor for the Lok Sabha elections.
NCP is planning to raise the leadership issue after the general elections. Right now the party is focussing on the Lok Sabha polls and there after Maharashtra assembly elections which are due in September this year.
