India on Friday dismissed Pakistani media reports that it has clandestinely airlifted 110 Taliban fighters to New Delhi with the support of the Northern Alliance to use them for anti-Pakistan propaganda.
India on Friday dismissed Pakistani media reports that it has clandestinely airlifted 110 Taliban fighters to New Delhi with the support of the Northern Alliance to use them for anti-Pakistan propaganda.
''It is a figment of the imagination,'' an official source said, while commenting on the report.
The source said that the Pakistani authorities were spreading such fabircated stories in order to malign the Indian government and its security agencies. The frontier post published a report that an Indian Air Force aircraft flew over Tajikistan and picked Taliban prisoners from Bagram airport and took them to India.
The India government has termed the allegations as totally baseless. Bureau Report
