New Delhi, May 18: More than two dozen Shiv Sena activists today ransacked a petrol pump owned by former hockey captain Aslam Sher Khan in Janakpuri area of west Delhi alleging the outlet was cheating customers in quality and quantity, police sources said. The activists, who had gone to submit a memorandum at Sher service station, turned violent, pelted stones and breaking window panes and other furniture there, they said.

Shiv Sena Delhi chief Jai Bhagwan Goel alleged that the activists turned violent after the pump staff misbehaved with them.

Goel alleged police lathicharged Sena activists, causing injuries to some of them and detained a party leader Anil Jain.

Police, however, denied any injury was caused to any one.

Alleging that the local police was in hand-in-gloves with the petrol pump owner, Goel said the party would lodge a complaint with Union petroleum minister Ram Naik tomorrow in this regard.

Aslam Sher Khan, who is also a former Union minister, is at present out of the country.
