Bhopal, Oct 27: Hitting out at Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh for criticising her language, BJP leader Uma Bharti today alleged that Singh himself had been using 'indecent' language against her and others for the past 10 years. "You have expressed unhappiness at a recent press conference about my language. I have same complaint against you for the last 10 years since you first became Chief Minister," she said in a letter to Singh.
Bharti said Singh's younger brother Laxman Singh had once described her as his sister-in-law, but instead of apologising the Chief Minister had used more insulting words by stating that "I am satisfied with one wife".
"Since Singh at times refers to me as his younger sister he should forgive me if at all i used any indecent language about him. As an elder brother he should safeguard my dignity, particularly on the occasion of Bhaiduj today," she said in the letter, which was released here.
She said Singh's reported comments about President's, Prime Minister's and her bachelorhood and dry spell were also a reflection of indecent language and added that he continued to make similar remarks till the state experienced heavy downpour.
Citing comments made by Singh and other Congress leaders about her in the past, Uma said "I am surprised about your complaint against my language. You seem to be suffering from inferiority complex as seen from the kind of language you have used against me."
