Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 30: Congress politics in
Kerala continued to be on the boil with senior leader K
Karunakaran today giving a clarion call to party workers to
oust Chief Minister A K Antony who rushed to Delhi to discuss
with the party high command the crisis in the party in the
state.
Seeking to add fuel to the political fire, opposition LDF
leaders today called on Antony to press their demand for an
early assembly session to bring in a resolution for removal of
Speaker Vakkom Purushothaman, which is intended to be a ploy
to test the divisions in the Congress legislature party.
Unfazed by the high command's direction against group conventions, Karunakaran made an open call to his supporters in Thrissur to rally behind him to remove Antony from his post and put "a better government" in place .
In a scathing attack on the government, Muraleedharan said here that the Chief Minister could not but accept the reality that the state was in the grip of administrative paralysis and law and order breakdown.
Meanwhile, Antony left for Delhi where he is expected to hold discussions with central leadership on the crisis in the party.
