Kannur, Jan 03: The Kerala government is considering completion of computerisation programme of all local bodies in the state, State Local Administration Minister Cherkalam Abdullah said today. "The Kerala government is actively considering completion of computerisation of all local self-governing bodies with the participation of private agencies and a project to this effect would be discussed in the forthcoming global investors' meet," Abdullah said at a function to distribute Rs 1.95 crore grant to village panchayats in the district under the Kudumbasri projects. Presiding over the function, forests and sports minister K Sudhakaran said the Kudumbasri project, aimed to uplift people belonging to the lowest financial strata had made enviable progress and helped several people, particularly women. The minister said the government had identified about 500 hectares of land for vegetable cultivation under the Kudumbasri project. Bureau Report
