Guwahati, Jun 01: Police have recovered a huge collection of Ulfa-related documents in a major haul from a remote area of Jagiroad in Assam's Morigaon district, a police report said here today. The police in major search operation at Komoi area under Jagiroad police recovered the documents from a cave in a remote hill of the district yesterday.

The documents were found in three VIP suitcases and two trunks and provide a detailed account of the banned outfit's operations, sources of funding, list of cadres and arms in their possession since their inception to 2002.

The special drive was launched by the district police after receipt of specific information.

A detailed analysis of the documents have begun and it was expected to take a few months to go through all the documents, the police said.

Several extortion notices to prominent industrial houses and businessmen were also found, the sources added.
