Indore, Oct 21: Taking a dig at the slew of film actors taking the plunge in politics, Union Food Minister Sharad Yadav today said they would do better to concentrate on their respective fields. Yadav, while talking to reporters at the Indore Press Club, however clarified that he was only referring to those actors inducted by political parties and was not against their nomination to the Rajya Sabha.

The minister also had a go at instances of eunuchs winning polls, saying "it reflected the deterioration in every walk of life. "Those who voted in favour of the eunuchs are harming their own interests", he added.

"The voice of the poor and needy should echo in Parliament," he said adding people should seek a reply from politicians during elections.

To a query, he said his party (Janata Dal) would field nearly 20-50 candidates depending upon the party position. On the issue of providing reservation in private sector, Yadav while evading a direct reply on the issue said as long as caste-system prevailed in the country the issue of reservation could not be avoided.

Referring to the foreign origin issue of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, he said he did not want to get involved in the controversy.
