New Delhi, Sept 16: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on Monday assured developed countries that they need not worry about the shifting out of jobs to India, saying this was a "win-win" situation for both sides.
"Many developed countries are worried that their jobs are getting shifted out to India, although the truth is that it is a win-win situation for both India and the developed countries," Advani said in his inaugural address at the 30th management convention of the All India Management Association.
"Our talented young people can perform the outsourced jobs at a lesser cost and hence provide a cost advantage to companies abroad," he added.
Seeking to differentiate political ideology from governance, he said "I have come to realise that a large part of governance has very little to do with the specific ideology of this or that political party; rather it has much to do with the canons of good governance".
In the context of increased globalisation of the Indian economy, the Deputy PM said his party was opposed to the model of state-controlled economy.
