AR Rahman to attend IFFI closing ceremony
Music maestro A R Rahman will be the chief guest at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which is slated to begin from November 20 in Goa.
New Delhi: Music maestro A R Rahman will be the chief guest at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which is slated to begin from November 20 in Goa.
The Oscar-winner will also attend the NFDC Film Bazaar that is held parallel to the festival where Nasreen Munni Kabir is moderating a session 'Films and Beyond' on Rahman.
The announcement was made following a review meeting by I&B Ministry, Directorate of Film Festivals along with Govt of Goa and Entertainment Society of Goa.
The world cinema section at IFFI will present 187 films from 89 countries while Indian Panorama section will screen 47 spectacular films from India in Feature and Non-Feature category. Spain is the country of focus this year.
Film Bazaar, in its 9th edition, will be focusing on more than 150 film projects at various stages under film labs, co-production market, viewing room and industry screening.
Delegates from 38 countries will be participating in the Bazaar from November 20-24.
